MN Gun Owners Caucus - Club Members express their support
With as many as 8 different gun related bills proposed in the Minnesota Legislature this session, many club members are calling for support for the Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus. As long time member Brad Hopke explains below, this organization is pushing back against efforts to restrict gun owners' rights, including bans on many types of very popular semi-automatic rifles and so-called "large capacity" magazines. His letter to us is below:
To the members of the Dakota County Gun Club.
My name is Brad Hopke. I am asking my fellow gun club members to look at the following website for the MN GUN OWNERS CAUCUS. https://gunowners.mn/about/
MN Legislators as well as our Governor are trying to take away gun rights from law abiding gun owners. The MN Gun Owners Caucus is in the fight for gun owners like us. They are in the trenches attempting to educate the legislators that are anti-gun. The MN Gun Owners caucus is working to get enough votes to stop this current bad batch of potential new gun laws. This organization needs your support. If gun owners don’t support them to do the work they are doing, we will have our gun rights taken away. I ask you to please view the attached link. Check out the organization. If you agree with their work. Please support them, by becoming a member of the organization. Ask your friends and neighbors to support them. The only thing this group does is it attempts to protect the 2nd amendment. We don’t want MN to turn into California or New York where gun restrictions are very high.
Here is the mission statement from the MN Gun Owners Caucus’ website:
Our Mission
To defend and restore the Right to Keep and Bear Arms in Minnesota – without compromise.
Our work is focused on:
· Protecting individual liberty and the natural right to self-defense
· Defending the Second Amendment in the legislature and in the courts
· Equipping our members with tools, training, and legal support
· Giving peaceable Minnesotans a professional, powerful voice
We’re not a national group. We’re focused 100% on Minnesota.
